Jewelers of America to host Legislative Forum on Capitol Hill

Dinner & Forum will be part of the association’s annual advocacy visit

jewelers of america e(NEW YORK) - Jewelers of America (JA) has announced it will host a Dinner & Legislative Forum on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the prestigious Army & Navy Club in Washington, D.C. The event - open to both JA Members and non-members - will offer an insider’s perspective on the laws and regulations that affect jewelry businesses. Jewelers of America’s D.C.-based legislative counsel, Haake Fetzer will host the Town Hall-style format on hot topics including sales tax fairness - with legislation recently reintroduced in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate - jewelry-related regulations, and the proposed 20% tax hike on imports that could be part of comprehensive tax reform.


GIA seminars on synthetic diamonds and diamond treatments announced for August Atlanta Jewelry Show

Atlanta e(ATLANTA, Ga.) - For the first time at the Atlanta Jewelry Show, GIA (the Gemological Institute of America) will offer two seminars focused on identifying synthetic diamonds and diamond treatments. The seminars will be offered on Sunday, August 13 during the Fall Show, held August 12 - 14, 2017 at the Cobb Galleria Centre.

Atlanta Jewelry Show to offer GIA Diamond Grading Lab in conjunction with August Show

Jewelers for Children to celebrate 5th annual Rings of Strength

The fifth edition of the popular Jewelers for Children Rings of Strength will be held on Sunday, June 4, at Mandalay Bay Resort Casino in Las Vegas, NV.  The very popular event includes options for a 5K walk or run, a 50K challenging bike ride in the scenic foothills of Red Rock Valley, or a street level 10K bike ride.  Sponsors have lined up for this year’s event and participants are well underway in fundraising to support children in need.
