JCK Events starts the New Year on strong footing for 2010 2011 move to Mandalay Bay 92% sold out

(NORWALK, Conn.) - JCK Events 2010 welcomes new companies to the largest industry gathering on June 4-7, 2010. New and returning companies from other Las Vegas shows include Assael International, John Buechner, Inc., Disney Fine Jewelry, FuFoo, Fope, Furrer-Jacot, Glam Rock, William Henry Studio, William Levine, Pearl Centre International/Bays Gem and Pearl, Rosato, Christofle Silver, and Staurino. Swiss Watch by JCK welcomes Carl Bucherer and Harry Winston who join Raymond Weil.


AGS 2010 Circle of Distinction moved to Plaza Hotel

(LAS VEGAS) – The Beatles stayed there on their first visit to the United States, and it’s where Truman Capote hosted his famous Black and White Ball. The Plaza Hotel in New York City is synonymous with iconic hotels, so much so that it was even home to a literary character, the precocious Eloise.  The American Gem Society (AGS) is about to become a part of that history with the announcement that The Plaza Hotel will be the location for the next Circle of Distinction Dinner, Sunday, July 25, 2010.

MJSA Expo New York to offer better setting, more convenience, good timing at new location

Show will be held March 14-16 at Hilton New York, near Diamond District and Midtown attractions

(PROVIDENCE, R.I.) - In a change that promises a host of benefits for vendors and attendees, MJSA Expo New York will move to the Hilton New York hotel in Midtown for its 2010 run, scheduled for March 14-16.

The Hilton, at West 53rd Street and Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue), provides convenient access, either onsite or nearby, to everything visitors from the jewelry industry may want or need, from restaurants, hotel rooms, and entertainment to a quick trip to the Diamond District on 47th Street just blocks away. Radio City Music Hall, the Rockefeller Center, and the Museum of Modern Art are across the street, and Broadway, Lincoln Center, and Fifth Avenue shopping are within walking distance.

AGTA changes GemFair day pattern for 2010

(DALLAS) - The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has announced it is changing its day pattern for the 2010 AGTA GemFair™ Tucson.  The GemFair has traditionally started on Wednesday and closed on Monday.  It will now start on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 and close on Sunday, February 7, 2010.

AGS declares a Revolution

2010 Conclave focuses on revolutionary business practices

(LAS VEGAS) - The American Gem Society (AGS) has announced that the dates for the 2010 Conclave, an annual gathering of its prestigious membership, will be April 21-24th. The theme this year is “Revolution,” with the keynote and educational programs focused on bold new ways of doing business.

The 2010 Conclave will be held at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay. The conference will feature leading keynote speakers, best-practices classes, hands-on workshops, multiple networking opportunities, and the Society’s illustrious event honoring industry leaders, The Robert M. Shipley Award Luncheon.
