GIA announces new eLearning course for Colored Stones

(CARLSBAD, Calif.) – The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has announced the most recent addition to its slate of eLearning gemology courses with the launch of Colored Stones.

The Colored Stones eLearning course, which is part of the Institute’s Web-based Distance Education initiative announced in early 2009, is considered more robust than any eLearning course yet, with more than 1,000 videos, slide shows and animations.


GIA Laboratory introduces Diamond Sorting Service

(CARLSBAD, Calif.) - The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is now offering a Diamond Sorting Service for D-Z color diamonds weighing between 0.15 carat and 0.99 carat. This service is intended to help control clients’ costs by providing grading reports on only those diamonds that fall within certain color and clarity parameters, as specified by the client.

A jeweler sends their logo, store information and preferred pricing to Ashi and the company customizes the retailer’s micro-website.
