DCA helps jewelers improve sales, even during slow economic times

For more than 60 years, the Diamond Council of America (DCA) has been an industry leader dedicated to providing affordable, high-quality education focused on diamonds, colored gemstones, and fine jewelry. DCA courses have proven to help improve overall sales for jewelry retailers and sales associates, even during slow economic times. For one DCA member, sales associates who were DCA trained had twice as many sales per hour than associates who were not trained through DCA courses.

DCA offers three different memberships:

  • The Executive Membership
  • The Associate Membership
  • The Individual Membership

“I have found that the DCA courses have been invaluable in rapidly taking our new associates from ‘zero to sixty’ in terms of productivity (both in terms of sales and general jewelry gallery tasks), knowledge, and confidence.  Paired with our own store-specific training, the DCA courses give our new associates everything they need to be immediately effective.”

DCA delivers nationally accredited distance-education through five courses: The Diamond Course, The Colored Gemstone Course, Beginning Jewelry Sales, Advanced Jewelry Sales, and The Diamond Studies Course (specifically for Individual Members). These courses enhance the ability of DCA members’ associates to sell fine jewelry with expertise, integrity and professionalism, and to fuel the passion of those looking to further learn about the jewelry industry.

DCA courses have proven to help train new jewelry sales associates in a time-effective manner, improve jewelry sales, and contribute to the increased productivity of the overall sales team.

Founded in 1944, the Diamond Council of America is a not-for-profit membership organization located in Nashville, Tennessee. DCA’s mission is to provide quality, affordable distance education. DCA currently has more than 280 corporate members representing over 4,800 jewelry stores in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
