Highlights of the March 2013 edition include:

Offering a one-stop product resource, the March Atlanta Jewelry Show brings together more than 350 companies showcasing top brands and up-and-coming companies representing virtually every product category.   Attending retailers will be able to stroll among the show’s extensive selection, including the cutting edge styles in the popular Point of View: Designer Gallery, as well as the Promenade and general booth areas. To relax and regroup during the busy buying day, stop by Market Place, the show floor buyers’ lounge.

Third annual Torch Awards Design Competition

To showcase the design talents of bench jewelers/designers across the nation, the Atlanta Jewelry Show will host the third annual Torch Awards Design Competition during the March Show. All state jewelry associations have been invited to participate by submitting the winners of their own 2012 state-wide design competitions. Entries will be featured in a special display on the show floor and attending buyers will have the chance to vote for the People’s Choice winner.

GIA Diamond Grading Lab Class - Tuesday, February 26 - Saturday March 2, 9 am - 5 pm.

For the third year in a row, the Atlanta Jewelry Show is bringing these outstanding, hands-on programs to retailers.  Through GIA’s unique combination of hands-on training, one-on-one coaching, and integrated multimedia presentations, attendees will learn to grade diamonds consistently and accurately using a modern gem microscope and jeweler’s loupe. They will become proficient in GIA’s Diamond Grading System, discover time-saving shortcuts to determine a variety of grading factors, and learn to read a GIA Laboratory Diamond Grading Report. Attendees will spend more than 18 hours practicing grading techniques on diamonds that were carefully selected and graded in the GIA Laboratory. They will also learn to recognize the most common diamond features. Making sense of the Gem Marketplace - Gemworld International to offer hands-on workshop: Corundum Treatments & Pricing

Heating and other methods used to enhance the appearance of corundum are having a profound effect on the market today. Buyers can earn valuable SJTA Reward points for simply placing orders for their best-sellers, required stock items, and other store necessities during the March Atlanta Show, and then redeem them for hotel and travel packages, electronics, personal accessories, home goods and more. Celebrating new talents truly makes sense: SCAD Student Design Competition

This March the Atlanta Jewelry Show will spotlight  some of the industry’s true emerging talents as the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) and the SJTA co-host the 10th annual Student Design Competition Awards Ceremony on Sunday, March 3 at 3 pm.  This competition rewards entries in four categories – rings, bracelets, necklaces and brooches. Co-sponsored by Stuller, Inc. the annual competition continues the tradition of recognizing the outstanding work of SCAD design students while also providing budding jewelry designers with an inside look at the commercial jewelry industry.  In addition to winners in the four competition categories, show attendees have the chance to review the entries at the SCAD display on the show floor and cast their vote for “Best of Show”.

The popular SJTA U educational series returns to the Atlanta Jewelry Show with a full roster of programs touching on the industry’s most important issues, trends and challenges. From estate jewelry buying and social media tips to the latest marketing and small business survival strategies, the March line-up will give jewelers practical and profitable ideas to get their year off to a strong start.
