The Retailer’s Perspective: Terms and Conditions, Part III

As the long-time owner of a couple of small businesses, I’m always surprised at the gall that some people possess. It makes me want to post a ‘Terms and Conditions of Entry’ sign on my front door and require everyone to read, understand, sign and adhere to it. It’s still a work in progress, but with the help of my readers across the country giving me new ideas, I’ve now completed the third segment of this document.  Part III goes something like this.

The Retailer’s Perspective: The internet has failed me

There are few things more life-changing in today’s society than Al Gore’s invention known as the internet. Well, maybe indoor plumbing. Okay, I’ll put air conditioning ahead of the internet too. And, I suppose, by default, I’d have to put the computer in front of the internet as well. And electricity is pretty sweet. I’m also kind of a fan of cameras, motion pictures, television, and videos. Now that I think about it, I’m kinda hooked on the automobile too!

The Retailer’s Perspective: It’s ‘Hey buddy’ season

After a hectic morning, I was finally able to sit down at my front counter and eat lunch. Today I was having a homemade broccoli and cheddar cheese soup paired with a hot ham bagel sandwich with smoked provolone. My trick with the soup is to first fry up a pound of bacon, extra crispy. Then, as the soup is simmering, crumble up about ¾ of the bacon and put it in the pot. Then, add the bacon fat as well. Yum, Yum.  Then, once… oh wait, I forgot, this isn’t a cooking show.
