Unique NitinNitin Dhariwal, Chief Operating Officer of KGK International USA and President of Unique Settings New York.Unique Settings New York was founded because “manufacturers lacked the customer service and understanding of creating customized product in a short time,” says Nitin Dhariwal, Chief Operating Officer of KGK International USA and President of Unique Settings New York.

“With this ever-growing need in the American retail industry, Unique Settings became, and remains, the pioneer of the ‘Just in Time’ concept. Unique Settings continues serving independent jewelers with a high-quality, tailored product delivered within five to seven business days.”

Unique Settings and KGK Group, a longtime industry leader in diamonds and jewelry manufacturing, have grown into not only a premier bridal manufacturer, but also one of the leading sources for certified and loose diamonds and precious stones. The company’s growth has been swift as it garnered a reputation as a leading supplier of bridal, fashion, wedding band, customized pieces and certified diamonds.

Unique Settings now serves independent retail jewelers not only across the United States, but worldwide with an impressive and evolving collection of more than 100,000 designs. The entire line is available in 14- and 18-karat gold in white, yellow and pink as well as platinum and palladium. One hundred percent of the company’s product is manufactured in America, within the company’s state-of-the-art, 32,000-square-foot facility in New York.

Customization is key at Unique Settings. The company can customize any existing piece in its collection or create new, one-of-a-kind designs from a sketch.

Unique bench all“Improving designs & adding new products is a continuous exercise” at Unique Settings, says company President Nitin Dhariwal.

“We are a leader in customization in the United States, maybe even the world,” Nitin says. “Not everybody can do it right, but our professional and highly skilled team makes it happen quickly and painlessly. Any piece of jewelry can be customized. A customer can find anything and everything they could dream of; as our tagline says, ‘Vision Becomes Reality.’

“We are one of the biggest manufacturers of bridal jewelry, and we carry a large selection of fashion and wedding bands – men’s and women’s,” he adds. “Also, our wedding bands carry a lifetime warranty, details of which can be found on www.uniquesettings.com.”

The company employs about 200 people, from customer service to administrative positions to polishing and setting. “We are dedicated to working for the independent jewelers,” Nitin says. The company also is committed to environmental friendly practices, using recycled precious metals and ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones.

Teaming with KGK Group

Collaborating with the multinational KGK Group, which recently bought a stake in Unique Settings, has been a great move for the company, allowing an even broader range of products and services. With more than 100 years in business, KGK Group is widely known for mining, sourcing, manufacturing and distributing colored stones, diamonds and jewelry, along with other ventures.

“Unique Settings now has all of the experience and expertise that comes with the KGK Group, having offices and facilities already in place around the world,” Nitin says. “KGK Group came with a huge selection of GIA stones and melee diamonds that will be available for our retail partners. Our inventory goes through strict testing, and therefore we guarantee all of our supplied diamonds to be natural. All of KGK’s diamonds can be traced back through the entire manufacturing process.

“Unique Settings New York just launched a new website, where the customers can track their orders live and know exactly what stage of production their order is in,” he adds. “We’ve added this for the comfort of our clients, so they can know and understand how the process is moving. Clients can also view all of our GIA diamonds on the website.”

One-Stop Shop

Unique Settings is now a one-stop shop for retail clients, Nitin says. “We understand the changing demands of Millennials, and we understand that it is crucial for manufacturers to grow their product and service offerings, creating a better and easier experience for their retail partners. We say to our retailers, ‘Let us take your manufacturing pains and give you a beautiful product that will satisfy your end consumer. We concentrate on the manufacturing and doing all the legwork, while you concentrate on growing sales.’

“Improving designs and adding new products is a continuous exercise in the company,” he says. Incorporating the latest technology and staying alert to trends in the industry are the keys to success. The company takes great pride in its beautiful, eclectic and flexible designs and ability to accommodate special requests with best-in-class customer service.
