Furry Friends

Furry Friends on the Job: Meet Ellie Mae from T. Simon Jewelers

This is Ellie Mae. This picture was taken when Ellie was 2 months old and still learning how to behave while working at T. Simon Jewelers in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. She’s 4 months old now. Ellie gets lots of visitors and has made many furry friends as well. Her favorite toy is a diamond ring chew toy with a treat in the middle. Anything that sparkles catches her eye right away. When left unattended she finds jewelry boxes to chew on. Ellie’s birthstone is pearl so the plan is to get her a pearl collar once she’s fully grown.

Furry Friends on the Job: Meet Soma who works at Custom Fast Fix Jewelry Repair

Greetings from Soma! Soma is a 7-year-old mixed breed that works at Custom Fast Fix Jewelry Repair in Mobile, Alabama with her human, Ken Lujan, part owner/manager of the store. She was recently named jewelry sales dog of the month. Soma is not only the greeter, she also prevents customers from going behind the jewelry cases - she’s a multi-tasker. Soma loves the customers and lets them hold and pet her. However, she’s not a big fan of the mailman. If he ever sticks his hand over the counter she will jump up as high as she can to try to bite him. Ken suspects that’s because he’s regularly late with the mail and always seems to bring bills.

Furry Friends on the Job: Meet Jojo from Harold’s Jewelry Store

This is Jojo the Yorkie! Jojo was rescued by her humans Kathy and Dan Tuschhoff when she was 4 1/2-years-old. She works every day as the greeter at Harold’s Jewelry Store in Jackson, Missouri. When not enthusiastically greeting customers, Jojo can be found bringing attention to Harold’s window display while enjoying the sun, walking on the glass counters pointing out pretty pieces to customers, or just saying hi and keeping them company while they wait on a watch battery to be changed. While customers may come in for a repair or to purchase jewelry, they stay for Jojo, and some even stop by again just to say hello.
