AWCI to present class at Atlanta Jewelry Show

‘Making Money with Watch Bands and Batteries’

(ATLANTA) - Learn how to provide expert watch battery and band service at the Atlanta Jewelry Show on Friday, March 1 from 8:30 AM - 6:15 PM at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI) is bringing “Making Money with Watch Batteries and Bands” to the Atlanta Jewelry Show. While many jewelers offer these services, few do the job expertly, according to industry standards.

Watch cover

Spend a day with Tom Schomaker of AWCI making watch bands and batteries more profitable for your store, and leave with a valuable Bergeon Tool kit, complements of AWCI, and an assortment of Sony watch batteries from Kessler Batteries.

Registration is $595.  To register visit: http://awci.com/bandsandbatteries

This 8-hour hands on class will demonstrate modern standards and expectations while showing how to avoid costly mistakes. Leave with a deeper understanding and ability to serve customers who cherish their watches, all while providing a higher level of services your customers will appreciate.

Join AWCI in their booth in the Loupe area at the Atlanta Jewelry Show to discuss services that AWCI offers. AWCI is passionate about watchmaking and watches and would like to discuss ways that they can help your store promote horology. Watchmakers will be available for questions and media communication.

“There is no comparison to the classes I’ve taken with Tom Schomaker at AWCI. After many years in the industry, I was surprised at what I had forgotten over time, and amazed at all that I learned. I’m really glad that I chose to take them.”

-Chris Wiles, CW21

Watch 3“There is a high barrier for entry in the watchmaking industry, and I feel like AWCI does a great job of encouraging and supporting everyone in class at every skill level.”

-Karen Wood, Jewelry Shop Manager
