(NEW YORK) – The Gemstone Industry & Laboratory Conference (GILC) has announced speakers for the 2012 meeting in Tucson.
Confirmed speakers and their topics include:

Shane McClure, Director of West Coast Identification Services at the GIA Laboratory, Carlsbad – Identification of Heat Treated Spinels
Francesco Mazzero, Opalinda – Update and Differences Between Shewa and Wolo Opals
Participants in GILC are gemstone traders, laboratory experts, jewelry manufacturers and major retailers who are active in the international gemstone community and dedicated to discussing relevant industry issues and in creating common disclosure language for all levels of the trade.
The Gemstone Industry & Laboratory Conference will be held January 30, 2012. The meeting is organized by the International Colored Gemstone Association, co-organized by the American Gem Trade Association.
GILC is an invitation-only event.
