Due to the overlap with key international trade shows in late February and early March next year, JA New York recently announced a change of date for the JA New York Winter 2012 Show to January 22 – 24.
“We received feedback from exhibitors and retailers alike that it would be beneficial to their businesses if we changed our show time to the new January dates,” explained Drew Lawsky, Group Show Director for JA New York Shows. “Our goal is to make doing business at JA New York convenient and easy, and we are always open to the feedback we receive from the community. The date-change worked best for the majority.”
Reinforcing this belief is Catherine Chan, General Manager for the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, who organize the Hong Kong Pavilion at JA New York Shows: “The first and most important reason for the change of date is that the need for stock replenishment is greater in January and early February than in March. It has been noticed that after the traditional sales peak seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, jewelers have the need to replenish their stock, and such need is at its greatest in late January.”
The JA New York Show will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, and the new show dates and times are:
January 22 – 24, 2012
9:30am – 6:00pm Sunday
10:00am – 6:00pm Monday
10:00am – 3:00pm Tuesday
