(NEW YORK) – JA New York Shows has announced the re-introduction of their popular Spring show, which will take place March 20-22, 2022, at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. In addition to the mainstay brands and manufacturers who have been exhibiting with JA New York for decades, the Spring event will also feature the renowned New Designer Gallery (NDG) section, which boasts a 45-year history and has been the launch pad for several pinnacle designer fine jewelry brands throughout the years, including David Yurman, Paul Morelli and Alex Sepkus, who began their storied careers in this section of the show. Additionally, the Design District will feature the work of many of today’s brightest designer talents whose distinctive work is a reflection of their unique point-of-view.
“JA New York shows have long been a go-to destination for both regional and international retailers looking to fill their cases with both current and collectable pieces that their customers are seeking,” explains Mark Lind, the new Group Show Director for JA New York Shows. “Our comprehensive, easy-to-navigate show floor features a wide breadth of product offerings and allows these motivated buyers to fulfill all of their jewelry buying needs under one roof. The demand to re-establish our March event has been resounding and we are committed to servicing our exhibitors and retail partners with an event that will help foster the success of their businesses.”
Multiple International Pavilions, including Hong Kong, NCAJA and newly introduced Indian and Turkish Pavilions, will allow buyers to source product from around the globe. Along with the opportunity to purchase loose diamonds and gemstones from JA New York exhibitors, the spring event is once again co-locating with MJSA Expo. The partnership between JA New York and MJSA Expo has traditionally added incredible value by giving designers and retailers with custom jewelry services access to manufacturing resources and further enhancing the comprehensive show experience.
On Monday afternoon of the event, one designer from the New Designer Gallery will be presented with the Mort Abelson New Designer of the Year Award, which will be voted on by a select group of retailers and press. For the first time ever, in addition to well-deserved accolades, this award will include a $5,000 cash grant and a free booth space in the Design District of a future JA New York event. Applications to exhibit in NDG are now being accepted.
