JA New York Spring Show preview

January 3, 2018

Reading Time: 4 minutes

JANY 1Once again, the JA New York Spring show will co-locate with the MJSA Expo March 11-13, 2018 at the Jacob Javits Center, to create a true, destination Jewelry Market Week in New York City. With JA New York’s emphasis on fine finished jewelry and MJSA Expo’s unique focus on supplies to the trade, attendees can get the best in contemporary and estate jewelry, as well as the full gamut of jewelry making resources, all under one roof.

JA New York strives to create the ultimate jewelry marketplace. Smartly styled, cleanly edited and freshly re-imagined, this polished show is an electric mix of the season’s best buying opportunities. It is an easy-to-work marketplace that brings the entire industry together for three focused days of buying, trend spotting, treasure-hunting and business building interaction in the jewelry capital of the world.

JA New York’s New Designer Gallery – traditionally only showcased during its summer event – will now also take place during its spring show for the second year in a row. Long considered the birthplace of the American designer jewelry movement, the New Designer Gallery is celebrating over 40 years, and has evolved since 1977 as the launch pad for a number of the world’s most highly respected and widely recognized designers.

JANY 2“I’ve been coming to JA New York for 31 years and it’s a great place to shop,” enthused Randy Cooper, owner of Randy Cooper’s Fine Jewelry in Wichita, KS. “This show is a perfect size. I always see people here that I know and want to see, and I usually discover new vendors.”

JA New York showcases over 500 vendors ranging from high-end designer fine jewelry, to major manufacturers, to some of designer jewelry’s hottest rising stars. Every style sensibility and price point is represented, making JA New York a comprehensive source for the jewelry consumers want to buy.

JANY 3JA New York is now in its fourth year of its popular hosted buyer program, which provides hosting and additional amenities throughout the show to a curated group of exclusive retailers. One of the show’s hosted buyers, John Thompson of Mednikow Jewelers noted, “This show has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, and the people who are exhibiting just seem to be a little bit nicer! All of the perks the show has given us make being here a joy.”
