MJSA, the trade association dedicated to excellence in professional jewelry making and design, has launched MJSA Expo Online, an extension of its flagship trade show. It will present the latest jewelry-making supplies and services through webinars, in-depth profiles, and social media streams.
“With the disruptions and cancellations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to ensure our members have as many opportunities as possible to present their offerings to customers,” says David W. Cochran, MJSA’s president/CEO. “Expo Online enables manufacturers, designers, trade suppliers, and subcontractors a way to extend the ‘Expo experience’ and interact throughout the year.”
Founded in 1968, MJSA Expo is the industry’s longest-running trade show dedicated to professional jewelry making and design. Expo Online extends that tradition through scheduled webinars that showcase products and services available from Expo’s exhibitors. The webinars run from 60 to 90 minutes and are hosted by Andrea Hill, CEO of the Hill Management Group and MJSA’s webinar coordinator. They are free to all attendees, who, in addition to seeing the product or service in action, will be able to ask questions, get answers, and schedule additional time to talk with exhibitors.
The MJSA Expo Online site also features Profile Pages, which present in-depth information about the products and services featured in the webinars: detailed descriptions, videos, slide shows, downloadable materials (spec sheets, catalogs, etc.), and an overview of each vendor’s background and capabilities. Every Profile Page includes registration links for the related webinar, as well as a form to reach exhibitors directly and request an appointment.
After the webinar’s original air date (which typically will take place on a Wednesday), replays will be available on the MJSA Expo Online website as well as through “encore” presentations streamed on MJSA’s social media sites. (All attendees will receive updates and notices about the encores.)
All registered Expo exhibitors in good standing are currently eligible to sign up for one Expo Online profile/webinar package, which will be available free of charge prior to the 2021 Expo – a $2,500 value.
