North and South Carolina jewelers were hypnotized by the entertainment and seminars at their annual Conference at the Marriott Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The North Carolina Jewelers Association and the South Carolina Jewelers Association were together again for their 6th year of fun in the sun. Saturday evening’s entertainment proved to be comical and hypnotizing with renowned hypnotist Gary Conrad. Mike Buley breathed energy and inspiration into advertising ideas for retailers with his witticisms and wisdom. Jewelers connected with idea sharing through roundtable discussions on hot-selling jewelry lines and social media. Saturday evening’s events raised over $3,000 for chronically and terminally ill children of Victory Junction.
The winning team in the Bulova Golf Tournament included Scott Dupont – Pease and Curren, Rex McClure – Sohn & McClure, Mark Toupin – M&M Closeouts/Jolie Designs, Arnold Gibbs – Arnold’s Jewelry and Mack Thomas – Infingers Jewelry. Winners received Bulova clocks to commemorate their victory.
The Grand Prize of the weekend was awarded to the Saturday Evening Gala Best Dressed Male/Female in keeping with the Conference theme – Be A Fan. No one could compare to Kim Woods of Barry’s Jewelry of North Charleston. Kim skated over the competition in full hockey gear of her beloved Stingrays. Ken Kelly of Diamonds ‘n Dunes of Kitty Hawk won Best Dressed Male. Their intense rivalry continues…
