“I loved learning from every presentation and from the other attendees. This felt like a luxury learning experience,” said Calina Shevlin, a first-time attendee and speaker at the 2018 Symposium.
From the first event, held in Santa Fe, NM, in 1987, the Santa Fe Symposium® continues to build on the idea that the current and future success of the global jewelry industry depends on professionals sharing their experience and knowledge, their challenges and solutions, their insights and ideas.
For more than three decades, the Symposium has been known as a leading source for up-to-the-minute breakthroughs and for new and expanding professional connections. The Symposium is strictly non-commercial and focuses on presenting new ideas, asking questions, fostering peer-to-peer discussion, and building networks across the jewelry industry. The result is a unique combination of art and science that drives innovation in jewelry materials, design, management and production.
In 2019, 24 speakers from around the world will share their experiments, research and expertise on topics as wide-ranging as generative design, platinum casting, brazing and soldering, X-ray tomography, advanced jewelry repair/restoration, laser cutting and more.
“Santa Fe Symposium is a forum [where] one gets an opportunity to meet genius under one roof,” says Nasar Damani, 2018 Santa Fe Symposium® attendee. “It gives a way of exchanging knowledge and ideas without any fear or formalities.”
Those who register before March 31, 2019 receive early-registration pricing. Scholarships are available for a few qualified applicants. Group registration (two or more people from a single business) offers even further discounts. Because seating is limited, the Symposium registrar urges attendees to register early to reserve seats.
