W.R. Cobb taps Jay Gerber to lead sales/marketing for online division

(CRANSTON, R.I.) – W.R. Cobb Company announced the appointment of Jay Gerber as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the interactive division of the 130-plus-year -old company. The appointment of Jay Gerber is a major addition to the WRCobbOnline leadership team.

The interactive division launched by W.R. Cobb Company three years ago has been one of the industry’s fastest growing interactive companies in the jewelry industry.  Presently, more than 1,000 jewelers use WRCobbOnline across America.

Gerber joins WRCobbOnline from M. Geller Limited of Chicago where he served for the past 6 years as Vice President and led the effort to create the Bridal and Diamond Jewelry Ring Builder business at M. Geller.

Prior to his leadership role at Geller, for more than a decade Jay served in key management roles at Princess Pride.  During the past few years, Jay has been a leading speaker on Internet trends, consumer behavior, and the future of jewelry – both in-store and online.
