(DALLAS) – The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has announced the results of its annual AGTA Board of Directors’ Election. Ms. Kimberly Collins, Kimberly Collins Colored Gems, was re-elected as a Director to the Board. Ms. Renata Abrahami, A.B.C. Gems, Inc.; Mr. Rohan Agrawal, Shanu G., Inc.; and Ms. Shiksha Naheta, Empresa Jewels, Inc. were newly-elected. The Directors-elect will take office in February 2021 and will serve three-year terms.
The following Members will continue with their positions on the Board:
Ann Barker, Robert Bentley, Ruben Bindra, John Bradshaw, Evan Caplan, Jonathan Gad, William Heher, Jeff Mason, David Nassi, Jaimeen Shah and Shekhar Shah
AGTA would like to recognize Mr. Bruce Bridges, Mr. Charles Carmona, and Mr. Hemant Phophaliya for their commitment to the AGTA Board of Directors, and to express appreciation for their years of service and dedication to AGTA. Their terms as Directors will end in February 2021.
Past President Jeffrey Bilgore chaired the Nominating Committee. The Committee Members were Pramod Agrawal, John Bachman, Bruce Bridges, Simon Watt, and Ray Zajicek. The AGTA Board of Directors holds elections on a rotating cycle to guarantee the coherence of the Board’s long-term plans. The new Board Members will be introduced at the AGTA Membership Meeting, which is open to all AGTA Members and will be held February 2, 2021, at AGTA GemFair™ Tucson.
