(DALLAS) – The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) announced the results of its annual Board of Directors’ election. There were six Directors elected to the Board. Ann Barker, Barker & Co.; John Bradshaw, John J. Bradshaw; and Jonathan Gad, GAD Enterprises, Inc. were re-elected as Directors to the Board. Bruce Bridges, Bridges Tsavorite; Malinda Daniel, Tim Roark, Inc., and Ravi Jajoo, United Color Gems, Inc. were newly elected as Directors to the Board. The Directors-elect will take office in February 2023 and will serve three-year terms.
The following Members will continue with their positions on the Board: Renata Abrahami, Matthew Hopkins, Rohan Agrawal, Shiksha Naheta, Dudley Blauwet, Jaimeen Shah, Kimberly Collins and Eric Yen.
AGTA would like to recognize Evan Caplan, David Nassi, and Shekhar Shah for their commitment to the AGTA Board of Directors, and to express appreciation for their years of service and dedication to AGTA. Their terms as Directors will end in February 2023.
“The past few years have been very challenging for everyone,” said AGTA President, Kimberly Collins. “This Board worked hard to ensure that AGTA not only was sustainable, but was also able to grow during that time. Evan, David and Shekhar were an integral part of that, and we thank them!”
Past President Ruben Bindra chaired the Nominating Committee. The Committee Members were John Bachman, Afshin Hackman, David Nassi and Shekhar Shah. The AGTA Board of Directors holds elections on a rotating cycle to guarantee the coherence of the Board’s long-term plans. The new Board Members will be introduced at the AGTA Membership Meeting, which is open to all AGTA Members and will be held during AGTA GemFair™ Tucson, January 31 – February 5, 2023.
