Gus Garcia, Director of Business Development at Bottom Line Marketing, was named to the board of directors for the charity foundation, Jewelers for Children (JFC). His official start date is October 1, 2020 with the term running through September 2023.
Jewelers for Children (JFC) was founded in 1999 to support children who have been affected by illness, abuse, and neglect. JFC partners with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, Make-A-Wish® America, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the National CASA Association. Since established, JFC has raised nearly $57 million for programs that aid children in need. Bottom Line Marketing has been a proud partner of Jewelers for Children for two years now.
As a member of the JFC marketing committee, Gus executed fundraising and marketing initiatives increasing their presence at industry trade shows, expanding the network of donors and supporters, and managing the deployment of marketing assets. He also traveled with JFC to volunteer at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2019. His support contributes to numerous JFC ventures throughout the year, including Jewelers for Children Day.
The 3rd annual JFC Day was September 26. Suppliers and retailers who partnered with JFC helped spread awareness in a variety of ways to their customers on this day. While celebrating the success of the industry’s support for those in need, this day also shined a light on the foundation’s purpose.
The success of this association is achieved through the network and support of dedicated board members within the jewelry industry.
