The CASE Awards recognize JA Retail Members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design
(NEW YORK) – Jewelers of America (JA), a national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, held its annual national retailer design competition at the JA New York Spring Show, March 13-15. The CASE Awards recognizes JA Retail Members who exhibit creativity, artistry, style and excellence in jewelry design. Many of the winning pieces of the 2016 CASE Awards featured hand fabricated designs with unique stone settings, and reflected current trends in both bridal and fashion jewelry.
Winners were selected out of 42 entries from JA Retail Members for five categories: Jewelry up to $2000, $2001-$5000, $5001-$10000, Over $10,000 (retail values) and Buyers’ Choice.
“The CASE Awards showcases the fine craftsmanship, creativity and expertise of Jewelers of America Members across the nation,” says JA President & CEO David J. Bonaparte. “These entries from our design competition exemplify the high-quality fine jewelry pieces that consumers can find at their local JA retail jeweler.”
The winners were determined by a judging panel of industry experts who judged the entries in a specific area of concentration. Voting in the category of Buyers’ Choice was open to all JA New York attendees with a separate ballot. CASE Award winners receive a trophy from JA.
The 2016 CASE Awards were sponsored by Synchrony Financial and Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company. The CASE Awards is open only to JA Retail Members and their employees.
