RDI Diamonds partners with Podium to provide modern messaging tools

Helps jewelers improve customer experience and bridge the online and in-store retailing gap

(NEW YORK) – RDI Diamonds, one of the country’s largest diamond suppliers, announced a new corporate partnership with Podium. Podium is a leading interaction management platform in the jewelry industry and works with over 55,000 businesses worldwide, including over 1,400 jewelers in the United States and Canada. In partnering with RDI Diamonds, Podium’s platform will help the company’s members modernize their communication channels to gather reviews, message customers, collect payments and more.

According to RDI, over 90% of consumers seek out and read customer reviews prior to visiting or using a business, most of whom trust the reviews just as much as they trust personal recommendations. 82% of consumers said the content of a review has convinced them to make a purchase.

“At RDI we value the success of our clients and are always looking to build meaningful partnerships that benefit our retailers,” said Sam Indelicato, Director of Culture at RDI Diamonds. “This partnership with Podium is an example of two forward thinking organizations coming together to help better our industry and address the evolving needs of our customers.”

Using Podium’s platform, jewelers will be able to contact customers who have recently visited the jeweler’s site, inquired about an item, or made a purchase. Minutes after a transaction is complete, the jeweler can automatically invite the customer to leave a review or ask for feedback. This invitation is sent via text or the messaging app of their choice. This integration will help jewelers improve their online footprint and become immediately available via messaging, as well as enable them to create a frictionless experience through touchless interactions.

“Our goal at Podium is to equip local retailers with the tools that will modernize the way they do business, helping them compete in their industry,” said Shannon Blake, Partner Manager at Podium. “RDI Diamonds is hyper focused on driving awareness of their members around the tools that will help them be more successful in this digital era. With our two goals aligning, we felt strongly that a partnership between our teams would have a significant impact on jewelry retailers.”

All new sign ups will receive an RDI cash rebate credited to their RDI account. *Excludes RJO/IJO and existing Podium customers.
