Time Delay marks 40 years of crafting custom enhancements for one-of-a-kind watches

Time Delay 40th(DALLAS) – Time Delay Corporation is celebrating 40 years in the time-honored tradition of offering its independent jewelers exactly what they need: the latest and finest in custom dials, bezels and bracelets at competitive prices, along with custom diamond enhancements for most pre-owned, precious timepieces.

Time Delay, an independent company not affiliated with any watch manufacturer, customizes high-end watches for retailers’ clients to fit their specifications. The company takes pride in its technologically advanced, full-service facility in Dallas, offering in-house dial refinishing, quality bezel manufacturing, Italian replacement bracelets and parts, and 18-karat bracelet restoration. The company buys and sells pre-owned Rolex watches, conducting every aspect of its business on-site with a talented array of master watchmakers and expert jewelers, ensuring the integrity of every timepiece.

The company also offers its retailers a beautiful, wood-grain display system as classic as the watches themselves. The displays, free to Time Delay’s stocking dealers, are versatile with different base levels and interchangeable pieces.

Time Delay founder Bob McQuirk, a certified Rolex trained watchmaker, is known for his lifelong love of watches. Recognizing the need and desire for beautiful enhancements for precious timepieces that went beyond what was offered by authorized manufacturers, Bob and his wife, Rosemary, sank their life savings into Time Delay and launched the company in Dallas, Texas, in 1978.

Time Delay coupleBob & Rosemary McQuirk founded Time Delay 40 years ago.“The company has always been in the family,” says Robert Loving, Bob’s stepson and Time Delay’s Vice President of Sales, adding that Bob got his start as a certified Rolex watchmaker for major retail companies before striking out on his own in watch repair.

Time Delay got off to a prosperous start during the Texas oil boom. “In the 1980s, everybody in Texas was buying these watches and turning them into ‘Texas Timexes,’ with diamond dials and bezels,” Robert says. People brought their Rolex and other high-end watches to Time Delay for these added embellishments that would be crafted with Bob’s high standard of integrity.

Along with servicing, manufacturing and dial refinishing, Time Delay delivers the power of its own team of watchmakers and jewelers, whose “talent and passion define Time Delay as a premier manufacturer of custom watch accessories.”
