(ALDEN, N.Y.) – United Precious Metal Refining, Inc. (UPMR) is honored to have been approved to be good for delivery of gold against the COMEX Gold futures contract. The Commodity Exchange, Inc. (COMEX) announced their approval of United Precious Metal Refining, Inc.’s application adding this prestigious status to the extensive list of accreditations and certifications earned by UPMR.
UPMR is proud to have been offering lead-free metals and products before the European Union and Federal US regulations limiting the amount of lead in jewelry were established.
UPMR’s Fine Gold and Fine Silver are SCS certified guaranteeing that both products are from 100% recycled materials and not from mines or other sources that are known to contain mercury and other harmful elements.
UPMR’s facility is also SCS Certified as being a “Green” company and is proud to be among the only refineries in the country to house their own waste treatment plant within the refinery to ensure proper processing and disposal of waste products.
UPMR’s gold, in addition to being COMEX approved, is also certified as being Conflict-Free by the EICC which guarantees none of the gold processed at UPMR comes from regions or countries which condone or participate in trafficked and forced labor.
