(RICHMOND, Vir.) – Richmond’s independent jewelers are pleased to announce that their 2017 Jewels for Children raffle raised $9,450 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Richmond at the Children’s Hospital Foundation Ball held November 3 at the Country Club of Virginia. The annual raffle, organized by Cheryl Fornash of Cheryl Fornash Jewelers, has raised over $103,000 in support of Richmond-area non-profit organizations over the last 8 years.

The participating family-owned and operated independent jewelers- – Adolf Jewelers, Carreras Jewelers, Cheryl Fornash Jewelers, Charles Schwarzschild, Cowardin’s Jewelers, Dransfield Jewelers, Fink’s Jewelers, Schwarzschild Jewelers, and Victoria Charles Jewellery- – have worked together in support of the raffle since its inception in 2009.
Each jeweler donated a piece of jewelry with a value of $1,500 or more. The 2017 Jewels for Children collection included a diamond heart shaped pendant by Andrew Meyer donated by Cheryl Fornash Jewelers; a sterling silver, rose gold and diamond pendant by Makur Designs donated by Adolf Jewelers; a pair of white gold, sapphire and diamond stud earrings and matching pendant donated by Carreras Jewelers; a pair of white gold and diamond Star Dangles earrings donated by Charles Schwarzschild; a white gold, Swiss blue topaz and diamond ring donated by Cowardin’s Jewelers; a white gold and diamond bracelet donated by Dransfield Jewelers; an Albion smoky quartz and diamond cable bracelet by David Yurman donated by Fink’s Jewelers; a Deco Diamond II Ladies watch with black diamond dial, diamond bezel and black leather strap by Michele Watch donated by Schwarzschild Jewelers; and a pair of white gold, faceted rock crystal and diamond drop earrings by Jude Frances donated by Victoria Charles Jewellery. Alan Furs also contributed a Black Rex knitted poncho to the raffle.
