Each year the Bench Jewelers Conference has improved on the success of past Conferences and this year is no different. As in past years, the Bench Jewelers Conference offers a wide selection of seminars presented by working master jewelers to help you improve your skills and add new techniques to make your services more valuable to your customers and employer.
This year more seminars and new seminar leaders have been added to the event. In addition, there will be a variety of seminars led by successful business owners and flourishing bench jewelers designed to show you how you can increase your profitability. Whether your are a shop owner looking to improve profits or an employed bench jeweler looking to secure your job and increase your pay, the Bench Jewelers Conference has something for you.
“It is neat to have a venue where we can get together and learn new things and share with other people who understand what we are talking about. It is wonderful. The classes are very informative; they are very concise and to the point and the instructors are always open to questions.”
“The Bench Conference was an overall good experience, with lots of opportunity to network with other jewelers with a vast knowledge and experience. The free sharing of information was excellent.”
“Most Bench Jewelers live in our small boxes and this is a chance to get out, socialize and meet new people, find out what is happening in the industry, learn some new tips, and improve our existing skills. It’s just an all round excellent opportunity.”
This year’s Bench Jewelers Conference will be held at the Millennium Hotel in downtown St. Louis. The Millennium Hotel is located across from the Arch and one block from Bush Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. The weekend of the Bench Jewelers Conference the Cardinals will be playing the Chicago Cubs, their biggest rival. The Millennium Hotel will likely sell out this weekend, so make your plans and book your room now to attend the Bench Jewelers Conference.
Staying at the host hotel provides you the best opportunity to take advantage of the many networking opportunities and all that the Bench Jewelers Conference has to offer. In the past, many jewelers had to stay at other hotels because they waited too long to book their room. If you plan to attend, do not delay in making your reservations.
A welcome reception will be held on Thursday night. There will be plenty of food and a cash bar, and later in the evening there will be Karaoke lead by Jurgen “Elvis” Maerz. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with other jewelers in a relaxed atmosphere.
On Friday evening, Southeastern Findings is sponsoring a Night At The Ballpark. Come watch the Cardinals play the Cubs and socialize with other jewelers. A block of tickets has been reserved and are available on a first come basis to jewelers registered for the Conference.
The Future of the Industry will be the topic of discussion at the general session on Saturday. This session was not only one of the most popular at last year’s Conference, but it also prepared those in attendance for the coming year. This year promises to be even better. The Bench Jewelers Conference’s panel of experts will look into their crystal balls and share their views of pressing questions facing the bench jeweler and what they need to do to face the future.
