Atlanta Jewelry Show, August 7 - 9: One Show. Three dynamic dimensions

(ATLANTA) – Retailers will see things a little differently August 7-9, 2010  as the Atlanta Jewelry Show puts the spotlight on the three dimensions that have shaped the Show’s continued growth and success – community, rewards and learning.  From the unrivaled product selection and southern hospitality that define the show’s community, to the full roster of rewarding buyer services, to the popular SJTA U seminar series that takes learning to a completely new level, the August Show at the Cobb Galleria Centre promises to give retailers a dynamic and fresh perspective on their businesses.

“We want to help retailers truly see the business and professional growth opportunities that the Atlanta Jewelry Show offers,” explains Carol Young, executive director, SJTA, producers of the semi-annual Atlanta Jewelry Show.

“It’s not just about product selection, which we have in abundance as the largest regional show in the country.  It’s also about a support system – a place where the industry comes to reconnect with friends, to meet face-to-face with long time vendors, to enjoy networking events, special show incentives and educational programming. At the Atlanta Jewelry Show,  we’re doing everything we can to make sure that the time buyers take away from their stores to come to our show is repaid tenfold with the fresh new ideas, marketing tools and merchandise they’ll put back into it when they return.”

The Community Dimension

This August, attendees will have the opportunity to do business, connect, and unwind with friends and colleagues in an atmosphere that’s overflowing with Southern hospitality.  Among the highlights:

A gathering of the industry’s who’s who - Walking the show floor, retailers will  be able to see the newest introductions and popular best-sellers by their sales representatives in nearly 500 booths covering virtually every product category, including antique jewelry, bridal, charms, designer jewelry, diamonds, earrings, gold, pearls, platinum, sterling jewelry, tools, watches and much more. Retailers can also get a first-hand look at a wide array of cutting edge designs in the special Point of View: A Designer Gallery section of the show.

Complimentary Buyer Breakfast each morning - Buyers can gear up for a busy buying day by enjoying a light continental breakfast served in the registration concourse area.

New Exhibitor Meet & Greet - Sunday, August 8, 9:30 am - Discover the Atlanta Jewelry Show’s newest members and learn about their products at the New Exhibitor Meet & Greet during Sunday’s complimentary buyer breakfast.  You’ll see and hear first-hand what’s new at the Show to ensure that you are your area’s first to get the newest, best-selling products into your cases.

SJTA Show Place - Located at the show entrance, this dynamic display brings together some of the fabulous new finds from many of the Show’s top exhibitors.  A great place to make notes of some of the Show’s “must-have” products.

The Gala: Bollywood Bash! - Sunday, August 8, 6:00-8:00 pm - Renaissance Waverly Hotel - Join attendees on a passage to India as the Atlanta Jewelry Show salutes the musical extravaganzas that define the booming film industry in India. Bollywood’s foot-tapping numbers, action, melodrama and lush visuals all make for the perfect backdrop and a great reason for you to grab your sari, kick off your shoes and dance to the upbeat Bollywood sounds. The curries may be hot, but the beer will be cold and everyone will feast like a mogul emperor.  So join us for a night that promises to be the most fun this side of the Taj Mahal.

Jewelry on the Catwalk - Sunday, August 8, 1:00 pm – SJTA Sidewalk Café - See the  latest jewelry and fashion accessory trends  that have recently been making their way down  runways around the world!  Mia Katrin, Jewelry Designer, President of Jewel Couture, LLC, and Southern Jewelry News columnist, will bring together fabulous designs and stunning models to give retailers  a first-hand look at the latest ‘it’ trends and designs!

The Learning Dimension

The popular SJTA U educational series returns with top-notch presenters and topics touching on the most important issues today.

SJTA U - Headlining this year’s line-up, America’s ‘color guru,’ Lee Eiseman, Eiseman Center for Color Information and Training, author and executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, will lead the Show’s keynote address, “Color Trends: The Catalysts That Spark The Sale,” on Sunday, August 8. Other programs will touch on a wide range of topics including design trends, estate and antique jewelry, opals, scent marketing, lighting, social media and more.

In addition, the full-scale program makes it even easier for retailers to obtain SJTA Certified Jeweler Status – a designation that lets area customers know that a store is truly committed to ongoing education and quality customer service.  To achieve SJTA Certified Jeweler status, retailers must attend two Atlanta Jewelry Shows per year and at least two seminars during each Show, for a total of four seminars a year.  To maintain status, the retailer must then attend one Atlanta Jewelry Show per year and a minimum of two seminars a year.
