(LAS VEGAS) – The American Gem Society Laboratories, LLC has announced the launch of a new proportion-based Diamond QualityTM Report. The new report is based upon the science behind the AGS Light Performance Grading System.
“The Laboratories’ research team has utilized the patented light performance system to develop a better proportion-based method of grading diamonds,” said Frank Dallahan, President and CEO of AGS Laboratories. “This report gives diamond manufacturers and retailers the opportunity to have and market an ideal cut grade. Competitively, the word ‘Ideal’ gives your best diamonds a real advantage in this very challenging marketplace,” said Dallahan. “For retailers, that is a real marketing plus.”
In addition to Ideal, the new report contains word descriptors that are standard to the industry: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor.
The AGS Laboratories, created in 1996, is committed to protecting the consumer by providing unbiased grading reports based on the highest standards of diamond grading.
