(ATLANTA) – Returning to the Cobb Galleria Center from August 8-10, 2009, the Atlanta Jewelry Show gives southeastern jewelers the chance to get a first-hand look at the next best-sellers, breaking trends, and business-building strategies, while staying close to home and spending less on travel. This edition will bring the latest introductions from 600-plus exhibiting companies together with special features like complimentary gas cards for pre-registering, free daily breakfasts, festive networking events, free seminars and the chance to earn valuable rewards based on show orders.
“As the largest and strongest regional jewelry show in the country, the Atlanta Jewelry Show gives area retailers the opportunity to see the same top lines they would expect to find at other jewelry shows in bigger cities – at a fraction of the cost,” explains Carol Young, executive director of Atlanta Jewelry Show producers, the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association (SJTA). “We’ve also worked to develop innovative buyer services and a full roster of seminars and networking events that deliver a complete show experience. So our buyers know that they can stay close to home and still find everything they need to restock their shelves and strengthen their sales and marketing strategies.”
SJTA U keynote address to share the service strategies of the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center
The popular SJTA U educational series returns with top-notch presenters and topics touching on the industry’s most important issues today. Headlining the August series, Jeff Hargett, corporate director, Learning & Content Delivery, The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, will lead a special keynote address focusing on the subtle nuances of delivering excellent customer service in a consistent manner. Titled “Radar On – Antenna Up. Fulfilling Customers’ Unexpressed Wishes,” Hargett will show buyers how to bring The Ritz-Carlton’s legendary culture of service and leadership to their own store environments on Sunday, August 10 at 9 a.m.
What’s more, the full-scale seminar program makes it even easier for retailers to obtain SJTA Certified Jeweler Status – a designation that lets area customers know that a store is truly committed to ongoing education and quality customer service. To achieve SJTA Certified Jeweler status, retailers must attend two Atlanta Jewelry Shows per year and at least two seminars during each show, for a total of four seminars a year. To maintain status, the retailer must then attend one Atlanta Jewelry Show per year and a minimum of two seminars a year. Look for more information on the full SJTA U seminar schedule at www.atlantajewelryshow.com.

It’s easier than you think to reward yourself with SJTA Rewards
It’s never been easier to earn SJTA Reward points for every dollar spent at the Atlanta Jewelry Show. That’s because buyers can earn reward points for every order placed with every exhibitor. After placing orders with exhibitors, retailers who are automatically enrolled in the program simply present copies of their orders to the SJTA Rewards Desk. Reward points corresponding to their order amount are automatically deposited to their special accounts ($3 = 1 point). After the show, retailers can then visit the program’s online catalog to see the reward items they can order, including electronics, travel packages, decorative accessories, housewares, music and more.
SJTA’s High Flying Buyers’ Club
Retailers who have earned 15,000 SJTA Reward points or more at any one of the past three shows are automatically enrolled in the High Flying Buyers Club. As a member, they receive special badges, have access to an exclusive “no waiting” registration counter, and have the chance to enjoy complimentary breakfast, lunch and snacks during the Show in the exclusive High Flying Buyers Lounge. To find out if they have qualified for entry, buyers can call SJTA at 800-241-0399 or email email@example.com.
“Tanks on Us” rewards pre-registered retailers with free gasoline
Another reward for retailers, this popular program returns to thank retailers who pre-register and attend the August Atlanta Jewelry Show. All retailers who pre-register will receive a special coupon by mail that can be redeemed for a complimentary gas card when they arrive at the show’s registration desk. Buyers can pre-register quickly and easily online at www.atlantajewelryshow.com.
Free daily Buyer Breakfast, Exhibitor Meet & Greet
Buyers are invited to enjoy a free daily breakfast in the registration concourse of the Cobb Galleria Centre. On Sunday, August 9, retailers won’t want to miss the chance to be introduced to the show’s first-time exhibitors during the “New Exhibitor Meet & Greet” session at 9:30 am, in conjunction with the buyer breakfast. During the session, buyers will be able to meet representatives from these companies and learn all about the new items they will be displaying during the show.
SJTA Show Place
Retailers should make the SJTA Show Place their first stop when they step onto the show floor. Prominently located at the main entrance, this dynamic display brings together some of the fabulous new items that they will find at the show. A great place for buyers to make notes on some of the show’s “must-have” products.
