It’s time – the one-and-only Catalog In Motion® show takes place February 6-9, 2009, at the Tucson East Hilton. Hosted by Rio Grande, this hands-on tools, equipment and techniques showcase for jewelry-makers is held during the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show. Through a continuous combination of product demonstrations, seminars, classes and face-to-face conversations, attendees discover innovative answers to their questions as they see and try out the latest tools and techniques alongside industry experts. Admission to the show is free.
With 5,000 square feet of display, demonstration and interactive work areas, Catalog In Motion® highlights the jewelry industry’s most exciting innovations as well as the very best of traditional, time-tested products and production methods. The show’s exclusive Education In Motion seminars offer free, at-the-bench question & answer forums with leading industry professionals. This year, topics include new BRONZclay®, Argentium® Sterling, wax-carving, stone-setting, bench tips, engraving and more. In addition, the show will host free demonstrations of techniques such as glass-bead fabrication.
Participants may also register for affordable hands-on classes to learn new techniques and increase their skills. Classes are offered on a variety of topics, including PMC® and BRONZclayTM, bench skills, soldering, stone-setting, pearl stringing and more; class sizes are limited to ensure a personalized experience. PMC certification classes are also offered through Rio RewardsTM. Early registration is strongly recommended as classes fill up quickly.
