(NEW YORK) – Jewelers of America (JA) promoted Mother’s Day gift ideas and JA Member jewelers through a nationwide public relations effort. The association expanded their outreach to consumers to promote Mother’s Day gift giving through a multi-city television tour, email promotions, online gift guides and a “Make Mom Shine” sweepstakes.
JA spokesperson Amanda Gizzi appeared on over 30 morning shows across the country to showcase Mother’s Day gift ideas including floral jewelry, pearls and initial jewelry. The segments, sponsored by Jewelers Mutual Group, featured JA Supplier Members’ jewelry, promoted jewelry as a leading gift for moms, reiterated the importance of shopping with a reputable Jewelers of America jeweler and protecting their investment with jewelry insurance.
The following JA Supplier Members were featured on television as part of the Mother’s Day media tour: Campbell + Charlotte, Dilamani, Gabriel & Co., GiGi Ferranti Jewelry, The Kingswood Company, Le Vian, Lika Behar, Mastoloni, Shy Creation, Syna Jewels and Valani Atelier. Jewelry cleaner from The Kingswood Company was used to discuss the importance of at home jewelry maintenance in between visits to their jeweler.
“Jewelers of America’s primary mission is to maintain consumer confidence for jewelry. One important aspect of that mission is to ensure fine jewelry is in front of consumers throughout the year. These media tours and sweepstakes allow JA to reach a wide number of consumers and encourage them to buy fine jewelry from a Jewelers of America member retailer,” said Gizzi.
The Make Mom Shine Instagram sweepstakes sponsored by Jewelers Mutual Group ran in conjunction with the Mother’s Day campaign. Consumers entered to win two GiGi Ferranti blue sapphire bracelets or two Brevani amethyst necklaces – one for the winner, and one for the special mom in their life.
