Jane Wullbrandt’s Trestle® designs make cover of Niche Magazine’s Spring 2009 issue

(ATLANTA) – Jewelry designer Jane Wullbrandt makes the cover of Niche Magazine, a business journal for progressive art gallery, craft and boutique retailers. Gracing the cover is her Trestle® Collection tuxedo stud set, while her link bracelet and cuff links appear in a special section dubbed: “Contemporary Art Jewelry for Men” in a story titled, “For the Boys.”

The inspiration for the collection came to Wullbrandt while sitting in traffic under rugged, crisscross railroad trestles. The motif offers her interpretation of her strong lattice framework muse in 18-karat gold set with precision-cut gemstones like black jade and diamonds. “The strong lattice framework captured my imagination, and after a return trip with my camera, I could envision the trestle design in various colors of gold with gemstones serving as the rivets.”

The Trestle® Collection includes tuxedo studs, cuff links, signet rings, bracelets, and pendants for men, retailing from $1,650 to $10,000. “I think they really finish a polished look and help men express themselves,” says the designer, who holds three decades of expertise on all levels of the industry. “I have lots of experience creating custom jewelry designs for men who can’t find pieces already made that fit their well-groomed lifestyles. If I didn’t get out on the sales floor and work retail as I have, I might not know about the need for smart, bold men’s jewelry.”

Influenced by the art that is all around us, Wullbrandt brings a unique perspective to her gem-intense, architecturally inspired 18-karat gold designs by telling stories in all of her collections. She captures the imagination in the patterns and shapes she brings together in tandem with her broad use of color in arresting gem and metal combinations.
