A new lion fish design joins the Coastal and Island Jewelry Collection from Kovel Jewelry. The face is three dimensional with fully formed open mouth and eyes on both sides of the face. The sweep outward of the tail and the articulated pectoral fin makes this ruby gemstone fish look like it is alive and swimming.
The collection celebrates Dr. William Kovel’s passion for the beauty of the marine environment through his authentic gemstone designs imbued with rich and dramatic color. His designs reflect the coastal and island lifestyle that visitors and locals are trying to capture when they purchase that special piece of jewelry.
Seashells, seahorses and sea turtles are another part of his Coastal and Island creations. This elegant collection is presented in sterling silver with natural gemstones. It has found favor with retail customers throughout the southeastern U.S. and in selected markets abroad. Many of his designs are also available in 14K and 18K, including the popular Ocean Breeze bangles.
Dr. Kovel’s jewelry designs have developed quite a following and is offered in a broad range of price points.
Dr. Kovel was a cosmetic dentist who fished commercially for tuna in his early years. He became an advocate for ocean health and began to use his artistic gifts by creating large public art projects that increased awareness of environmental issues. Today he travels the world’s oceans and coral reefs for inspiration, while highlighting the need for our stewardship of the waters with his striking and beautiful jewelry designs.
