MAJA, SJO join forces

The Mid-America Jewelers Association (MAJA) has reported that their Board of Directors has agreed to accept the invitation from the Southeastern Jewelers Organization (SJO) to “partner” with them for their annual trade show and buying opportunities.

Through the agreement, as a member of the MAJA, jewelry retailers may join the SJO buying group and receive special terms and conditions offered through the SJO.  This enables members of the MAJA to increase their bottom line by getting pre-negotiated terms and conditions from some of the best vendors in the jewelry industry.

Additionally, members of the MAJA are invited to attend the SJO Jewelry Show. August 24-25, 2014, in Charlotte, North Carolina.

SJO was founded in 1962 by a group of independent jewelers in order to get competitive terms and discounts.  This remains SJO’s focus today and they are delighted to extend this opportunity to MAJA members.

Adri Sfalcin will continue as Executive Director of the MAJA and lead efforts on behalf of the MAJA membership. She will work as an employee of SJO to assist MAJA members in taking advantage of this outstanding opportunity.
