In an effort to save its industry clients money on display and packaging products, Noble Display & Packaging is going to great lengths to change its supply chain and minimize the effect of tariffs on jewelers.
After years of being a large importer of products from China, the 35 year old jewelry industry supplier is looking outside its existing factories to manufacture display and packaging products in other countries. While a large part of the Noble catalog is made in the USA, the addition of facilities outside of China will give the company increased flexibility to provide the best possible combination of high quality products at the best prices.
“We are moving more production to our existing factories outside of China, and also setting up new production lines in other countries,” said Blake Mobley, vice president of sales & marketing at Noble. “We feel that with the uncertainty of the tariff situation we need to be prepared to produce all of our products outside China if the tariffs continue. Our plan is to have no tariff impact on anything we sell by February 2020.”
