Here’s what I need to know – are you going to the Atlanta Jewelry Show? If so, I can’t wait to see you there. If not, I’d love for you to reconsider attending, because I’d hate for you to miss out on this gem of a show, and all the great Southern Hospitality that comes along with it!

Yes, I am biased, I will readily admit it. But this is one show that I really look forward to attending twice a year. Maybe it’s the friendly and relaxed atmosphere on the show floor, maybe it’s the chance to really connect with vendor friends and retail clients without having to feel like you have to be in a hurry. Maybe it’s the amazing networking opportunities that happen at Mingle! on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings after the show closes. Or maybe it’s just a combination of the above. If you’ve attended the show, you know what I mean. Every time I mention “The Atlanta Show” to an industry friend who has been, they always smile. Because we just know what it means to attend.

If you haven’t yet attended, consider this your personal invitation from me to come join us. The show falls a little later this year (August 11th – 14th), so there’s still time for you to register and take advantage of all this show has to offer. Ask yourself this, why wouldn’t you want to set your brand apart from your competition and discover new products, vendors and services that will help position you for a successful 2017 holiday season?

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to take advantage of the extensive Atlanta Jewelry Show educational program, including a full day of pre-show education scheduled for Friday, August 11th. GIA sessions, a mini-Bridge presentation from Stuller, Inc., show floor-based learning labs and 10x Sessions in the Loupe pavilion all provide you multiple opportunities to engage at every level with the Atlanta Jewelry Show experience.

I’m happy to share with you that I will be part of that extensive educational series, as I am presenting two 10X Sessions in the Loupe. One session covers the advantage of membership in The Loupe, and the other will cover “Top 10 Tips for #ShopSmall Success” and will give you the information you need to jump-start your holiday season with Small Business Saturday, 2017.

Education aside, the show floor will be filled with “must see” vendors, products and services you won’t want to miss, and I invite you to visit a few of my favorites that I know will be exhibiting at the show.

If you’re in the market for “sparkle and shine,” make sure to stop by and see my friend Amit Shah at Diamond by Sejal, who I affectionately refer to as the “Melee King.” Diamonds by Sejal provides 18 different grades of diamonds in each size, and specializes in precision-cut small diamonds, especially for diamonds below .02 points. Do you know my beautiful and talented friend, Nina Nguyen of Nina Nguyen Designs? If not, please take some time at the show to stop by her booth, introduce yourself, and get acquainted with her fabulous line of merchandise. Nina recently unveiled her new “Mekong Collection” at the JCK Las Vegas Show to rave reviews. While the new Mekong Collection centers around intricate, hand-forged, fastened gold bangles, buyers won’t want to overlook the delightful selection of east-west set marquise gemstones that are making their debut in the Mekong Collection as well. Earrings, necklaces, and the signature Nina Nguyen wrap bracelets, a cornerstone of Nina Nguyen Designs offerings, complete the latest selection of pieces for 2017.

Nina is celebrating 8 years of exhibiting at the Atlanta Jewelry Show, and is offering a 3% discount for opening orders as a Show Special.  You’ll find her in booth #317 in the Gallery section on the show floor.

The August, 2017 Atlanta Jewelry Show will also be celebrating a special anniversary when the show floor opens up for business on August 12th. The AJS Buyer Group program, “The Loupe” is turning 2 years old, and continues to expand with new partners, programs and service offerings. Launched back in August of 2015, The Loupe was originally introduced as a common space dedicated to presenting exhibitors whose focus was on offering money-saving resources, services and tools custom-tailored to the specialized business needs of today’s independent jeweler.

Two years later, The Loupe has grown into a destination within the show floor, complete with personalized concierge services, dedicated 10X mini-sessions, and exclusive services offered only to Loupe enrollees. As a charter vendor member of The Loupe, I am excited to share this section of the show with you, and encourage you to take advantage of all the opportunities membership in The Loupe will bring you.
