Atlanta jewelry store gets visit from “Real Housewife”

When Sheree, from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, sought guidance in choosing the perfect diamond ring for her future son-in-law to present to her daughter, she sought out the local jewelry professionals at Palas Jewelers.

Krista Baker, owner of Atlanta-based Palas Jewelers.
Sheree trusted Palas owner Krista Baker would explain cut, clarity, color, and carats to the young man.  Then Krista offered a cocktail to help ease the shock of, in this case, that 5th “C” - cost -  since Sheree certainly had a strong idea of what her daughter would want in the size of a ring.  Luckily for him, Palas carries rings suited for every budget, even for someone “with $40,000 in student loans.”

Although the reality show is known for extreme drama, the March 25th episode actually featured a very calm scene. Krista and her staff delivered the excellent customer service on which Palas Jewelers has built their reputation, by patiently providing education about the most important jewelry purchase in a friendly, no-pressure environment.

“Many of our clients came to us to purchase their engagement ring, and continue to purchase jewelry for holidays and special occasions, or just because we also have an assortment of fun and unique jewelry,” says Krista. “They love us as much as we love them, and send their family and friends by often, or just pop in and visit.”

Palas Jewelers specializes in custom made engagement rings, designing and creating over 75% of their pieces to perfectly envision their customers’ desires. They also sell a variety of vintage rings, and exhibit estate pieces every season. The store showcases designs from international and local jewelers, and features everything from one-of-a-kind breathtaking works of gemstone art to unique, but wearable, everyday accessories.

Palas-store-MayCurrently, the store is running an ongoing event, “Recycle Resparkle,” which invites customers to bring in their old, seldom worn jewelry and have it redesigned into new pieces that they’ll want to wear often.

Baker opened Palas Jewelers in 2006, after a career of working in high-end jewelry stores in Austin and Atlanta. The store is nestled in the Paces Ferry shops of Buckhead.  Since opening, Palas has won several Atlanta polls, including best Jewelry Store in Atlanta by Citysearch!

“You don’t have to be a celebrity, or a ‘real housewife,’ to appreciate the value and personalized client service at Palas Jewelers,” says Baker.
