(NEW YORK) - Phillip Gavriel just launched his new Italian Cable collection - and it’s got a brand new look.
For the brand’s second collection launch of the year, the designer is expanding into more gold pieces. In addition, he is introducing a series that combines the twisted silver with a highly polished surface, creating a striking contrast.
There is also something for men, given the uptick in demand for the category, including new introductions in men’s chains, dog tags, cufflinks and bracelets. The designer considers men’s jewelry one of the most challenging categories, but feels these new pieces strike the right balance between what are forward thinking designs in a non-ostentatious way so that most men will actually feel comfortable wearing them daily. The collection continues the tradition of being 100% hand-made in Italy, and only using precious metals and natural gemstones or diamonds.
Also new is the accompanying brochure and presentation, which veers away from the brand’s traditional high fashion approach of glamorous model shots and opts instead for still life shots on a brightly colored pink tone, with references of all things twisty Italian like pasta and gelato.
Phillip Gavriel debuted the collection during Las Vegas Jewelry week and it will be available for viewing at various trade shows throughout the summer season.
