BriteCo to showcase Appraisal Management Platform and Personal Insurance offering at October JIS Show

Immediate jewelry and watch coverage for customers based on appraisals

BriteCo(EVANSTON, Ill.) - BriteCo is a new appraisal and insurance technology company that is changing the way independent jewelers create and manage their appraisals - and offering customers an easy and immediate way to insure their jewelry purchases.

Free to qualified jewelers, BriteCo’s appraisal software enables jewelers to create appraisals in ten minutes or less using intuitive self-guided screens to enter key information, including photos, producing a recommended range for appraised value based on market data. Once the jeweler finalizes an appraisal value, the customer receives an e-mail with an electronic copy of the appraisal for their records. The jeweler can also download and print a PDF of the appraisal.

Once the appraisal is finalized, BriteCo sends an e-mail or text directly to the customer that includes a custom quote for replacement insurance coverage. The customer clicks a link in the message, fills out a short application on their phone or other device, pays by credit or debit card, and is insured immediately.

Licensed to sell jewelry and watch insurance in all 50 states and backed by an AM Best A rated insurance carrier, BriteCo is showcasing its appraisal platform at the JIS October Show, October 4-7, 2019 at the Miami Convention Center. “In my experience, appraisals were taking way too much time and were a huge headache,” said BriteCo founder and CEO Dustin Lemick, himself a third-generation jeweler in a family business. “I was also frustrated spending hours on the phone getting the runaround from insurance companies whenever my customers had a claim. I knew there had to be a better solution.”

Launched in late March of this year, the BriteCo appraisal platform and insurance offerings are getting an enthusiastic reception among independent jewelers across the country.
