24 Karat Club, S.E.U.S. announces new scholarship, website

The 24 Karat Club, Southeastern United Sates is pleased to introduce the new 24 Karat Club – Sterling Reputation Scholarship. The $2500 scholarship, generously sponsored by Sunrise, FL based sterling silver jewelry manufacturer Sterling Reputation, is to be used for the Jewelry Design or Watch Repair programs at Bishop State Community College in Mobile, AL.

The scholarship is the idea of Club member Steve Berkowitz, president of Sterling Reputation. “Sterling Reputation is celebrating our 10th anniversary this year, and we thought this would be a great way to commemorate our milestone.  We are pleased to be able to give something back to the industry that has been so good to us for the past 10 years,” said Berkowitz. The 24 Karat Club would like to thank Steve for this generous donation.

The 24 Karat Club SEUS is proud to offer this and many other scholarship opportunities to deserving jewelry professionals throughout the southeast. Other scholarships offered by the Club include the annual Bob Foreman Memorial Scholarship and several scholarships sponsored by the Diamond Council of America.

In addition to the new scholarship, the Club has also announced the launch of their new website, www.The24KaratClub.org.

The new site contains information about the numerous scholarship opportunities offered by the Club, a directory of members and board members, the Club’s mission statement and the latest news from the organization.

The Club would like to thank member Howard Kelrick (president, Finger Mate, Inc., Hallandale, FL) for his hard work getting the website up and running. “Now, members can keep up to date on important club business, and with each other.  And those members of the jewelry industry interested in the Club’s activities, awards, and scholarships have a place to go for the latest information,” said Kelrick.
