GIA has announced the release of the Spring 2023 edition of their quarterly professional journal Gems & Gemology (G&G). In the new volume, discover the characteristics and mining history of sapphires from Montana and the growth mechanisms of morphological features in Colombian emeralds. Additionally, the Spring 2023 issue features a Tucson Gem Show recap, and the winner of the journal’s Dr. Edward J. Gübelin Most Valuable Article Award. G&G’s regular features – Lab Notes, Micro-World, Diamond Reflections, and Gem News International – continue to highlight interesting gemological findings worldwide.
This and every issue of G&G since 1934 are available for free on GIA’s website at GIA.edu/gems-gemology. If you are interested in featuring the Spring 2023 G&G issue or highlighting these articles, images are available upon request.
