The offered fancy vivid yellow diamond, diamond, platinum, gold ring (estimate: $1,000,000-1,500,000), from a private European Collector, is a stunning piece, remarkable for its size of more than 25 carats, and overall sheer beauty.
“It’s unusual to find a diamond this large, let alone one with such intense color and high clarity. This is quite rare on all three levels,” Heritage Auctions Fine Jewelry Senior Director Jill Burgum said. “This beauty is in a league all of its own.”
The ring features a cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut natural fancy vivid yellow diamond weighing 25.23 carats. The magnificent stone is flanked by trapezoid brilliant-cut diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 2.50 carats, set in platinum and 18k gold. A GIA report, dated August 12, 2019, stating “Natural, Fancy Vivid Yellow, Even color, VVS2 clarity” accompanies the center stone.
“It’s the type of diamond that is more than just something you wear – it’s a conversation piece,” Burgum said. “It’s so big, so bright, so overwhelmingly beautiful, when you enter a room, the ring enters first and commands everyone’s attention.”
