Jewelers Direct taps into powerful branding, launches new emoji domain 100 member strong jewelry industry group makes headlines again with innovative branding tool Jewelers Direct, a cooperative membership of 100 fine american retail jewelers offering their best deals directly to the public, announced the launch of its new emoji domain ?.fm.

Successful brands all over the world are using emojis every day. Brands are recognizing the power of emojis as a language and a medium of communication, and are using emojis in marketing to establish a connection with consumers in a fun, informal and creative way. Globally recognized brands such as McDonalds and Dominos Pizza are using emojis to reinforce positive consumer feelings towards their brands, and tap into popular culture conversation. A recent study shows that brands using emojis on Twitter and extended social media platforms produced a 461% year-over-year increase.

George T. Bundy, Chairman & CEO of BRS Media, Inc. said: “Emoji branding is the next frontier in creative digital marketing and we look forward to working with Jewelers Direct to create original and inspiring usage of the ?.fm emoji domain in the jewelry space. Today emojis are incorporated in all aspects of consumers’ online conversations; mobile devices, social media, texting, messaging, and now web domains. dotFM is excited to be one of only a few prime TLDs to support emoji-based domain names.”

Aleah Arundale, founder of Jewelers Direct added: “We are excited to have the coolest domain name in the jewelry industry, and know it’s going to excite jewelry and diamond lovers everywhere. As marketing continues to evolve and businesses look for unique ways to connect with their customers, I believe it is important to embrace new technologies such as emojis to understand and connect with our target audience. Shoppers are looking for a unique experience, and we believe that the ?.fm emoji domain will provide an easy way for consumers to connect with Jewelers Direct, and add a unique value to our marketing and branding as we head into 2019.”

Since its launch in July of 2018, Jewelers Direct has showcased thousands of jewelry items through its direct-to-consumer model, and sponsored several events, including its Silver Celebration and Bling for Blindness, which raised thousands of dollars in donations through online auctions benefiting SEE International, the Himalayan Cataract Project and the Orbis Flying Eye hospital.

Arundale said, “The launch of the Jewelers Direct ?.fm emoji domain provides Jewelers Direct members an easy and memorable way to connect and experience the best of online shopping, combined with the security of real, brick and mortar jewelry stores to stand behind every purchase.”
