(NEW YORK) – Jewelry Information Center (JIC) has just launched a new interactive Watch Guide on their consumer website, www.JIC.org. The Watch Guide is the latest feature to be added to the website, which re-launched in January as part of JIC’s consumer marketing initiative. The Watch Guide joins the already successful Buyer’s Guide, Design Gallery, Gift Guide and Jewelry Stories sections.
“There was a desire from our visitors to have more watch education available on our website,” says Amanda Gizzi, director of communications for JIC. “We created a fun, interactive, beginner’s level watch guide that meets those desires.”
Visitors using the new Watch Guide describe the timepiece they are looking for by responding to a series of questions about their needs. The results are then compiled to specify features that the individual may choose to consider when buying a watch. Knowing the correct terminology for the features assists the customer during the buying experience.
JIC.org is dedicated to educating consumers about fine jewelry and watches. To increase consumers’ confidence when shopping for watches, the “Interactive Watch Guide” section also includes expanded and savvy watch buying tips. There is also an interactive glossary, through collaboration with the experts at WatchTime magazine, where consumers can click on key watch terms and see a visual with their definitions.
