Precious metals refinery, Metallix Refining Inc., has announced the launch of their new and unique advanced precious metals recycling furnace known as APR³.

“At Metallix, we understand that scrap jewelry such as sweeps, polishing dust, filters, and sludges are extremely valuable and sensitive to the precious metals refining process,” says precious metal buyer, Joshua Michaels, “and that is why we specifically designed APR³ to improve the processing of these valuable materials.”

APR³ thermally reduces the scrap jewelry sweeps & polishings by creating an oxygen starved nitrogen infused atmosphere, using radiant heat to control combustion of the scrap, thus creating a turbulence free environment inside the furnace to minimize precious metal losses. Additionally, Metallix’ new APR³ furnace employs a sophisticated air pollution control system that protects the environment.

After many years of development, Metallix considers APR³ their most significant improvement to the precious metals refining process.

“We recognize the fast pace business needs of jewelers and have geared our customer service to exceed this market challenge,” says, Maria Piastre, Sales Manager of Metallix. “APR³ is another example of Metallix’ investment and commitment to continually improve our service to the jewelry market well into the future.  Your jewelry sweeps and APR³ are perfect together!”

Dedicated to exceeding customer expectations, Metallix’ knowledgeable staff of precious metal buyers will develop a custom turnkey solution, which ranges from scheduling pickups to the final purchase of their precious metals. Metallix will process and purchase mostly all forms of jeweler’s scrap containing precious metals and upon request, they offer stone removal from karat gold scrap and assistance in coordinating the sales of customer owned diamond melee and stones.

For more than 40 years, Metallix Refining has been a leader and innovator in the precious metals recycling industry. Metallix purchases, recycles, and refines gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and rhodium, serving businesses in a variety of industries around the globe.  An ISO 9001:2008 certified company, Metallix ensures that scrap precious metals are processed carefully, and with strict attention to environmental, health and safety regulations.
