(PROVIDENCE, R.I.) – Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America (MJSA) has launched a totally redesigned website at www.mjsa.org that features an expanded Buyer’s Guide, a new Career Center, and greater access to information ranging from technical processes to legislative initiatives.
“The industry has always viewed MJSA as a prime source for providers of both finished goods and manufacturing supplies and services, as well as a resource for in-depth information about jewelry design and manufacturing,” said David Cochran, MJSA’s president/CEO. “Our new website upgrades our capabilities to fulfill those needs, as well as enabling easier communication between MJSA and its members.”
One of the highlights of the new website is an expanded Buyer’s Guide section, which has a greatly improved search engine to access a range of products and services. It now provides easier keyword searches, more information about member companies, and a Product Showcase featuring MJSA member products and services. It also offers downloadable articles about how to make the best purchasing decisions, covering everything from capitalizing on fashion trends to investing in capital equipment.
“We wanted to make the Buyer’s Guide a true resource for the industry,” Cochran said. “Many buyers turn to MJSA for sourcing products because they view an association membership as a sign of a company’s dedication to the industry, and they trust our members to abide by MJSA’s code of ethics. By adding new features to better showcase our members and provide purchasing insights, we now can offer buyers a one-stop source to ensure they find the products and services they need.”
The redesigned website also features a new Career Center, with information about the industry’s employment outlook, educational and scholarship programs, and the MJSA Vision Award competition for designers. A jobs board will be added in the coming months.
Other new site features include a public affairs page with federal and state legislative updates, an “InfoResearch” page through which members can request customized research into specific topics, and more feedback options for seminar presentations, legislative information, benefit questions, and article ideas for MJSA’s monthly magazine, MJSA Journal.
