Key takeaways
• ID Genève has collaborated with independent watchmaker Florian Preziuso to create its first Métier d’art model, blending circular construction with high watchmaking mastery.
• The timepiece features sustainable innovation, including a reworked dial from previously defective material and a monoblock rotor machined from brass offcuts.
• The partnership emphasizes a philosophy of “”nothing is lost, everything is transformed,”” resulting in an extremely limited edition piece that avoids traditional heavy metals.
Born from a shared practice at the Geneva Watchmaking School, this collaboration between Cédric Mulhauser and Florian Preziuso brings together two distinct approaches: circular construction and high watchmaking mastery.
The result is a piece shaped by constraint.
A dial once considered defective is dismantled and entirely reworked by hand using a bespoke guilloché technique. Its untreated brass surface is left to evolve, forming a living patina.
On the reverse, a monoblock rotor machined from brass offcuts replaces traditional heavy metals, echoing the same decorative language.
Each element serves a single idea.
Nothing added. Nothing wasted.
Available on pre-order, in extremely limited quantities.
“Sharing knowledge is an invaluable asset, and this collaboration with Florian Preziuso shows that creativity and expertise don’t simply add up – they multiply!”
- Cédric Mulhauser, Co-founder and Watchmaker at ID Genève
“It all begins with a personal and philosophical encounter, driven by a shared conviction: nothing is lost, everything is transformed.”
- Florian Preziuso
