(MILAN, ITALY) – The second round of public consultation for the Blue List lexicon will end on June 12, 2026, and the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) is urging all interested parties to submit their comments by that date.
The Blue List Responsible Jewellery Supply Chain Lexicon, is being developed by a dedicated cross-industry committee within CIBJO as a harmonized set of definitions of words and terms to be used to describe responsible supply chains and sustainability, especially when marketing jewelry, ensuring that they are accurate, substantiated, clear, and easily understood by all stakeholders and consumers.

The second round of public consultation, which began on April 16, 2026, was scheduled to run for two months. It followed the first round, which ran from May 5 to September 6, 2025, during which CIBJO’s Jewellery Industry Supply Chain Nomenclature Committee received several recommended amendments to the original draft.
CIBJO invited a wide range of industry and external experts to participate in the public review of The Blue List, but has also sought contributions from all interested industry members.
CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri co-chairs the committee compiling the Blue List with Feriel Zerouki, Honorary President of the World Diamond Council. Kele Mafole, International Relations Lead of the De Beers Group, is coordinating the second round of public consultation.
