(ATLANTA, GEORGIA) The Atlanta Jewelry Show (AJS) is delighted to announce a major transformation for its Spring events.

After 76 years of the “Show of the South” being based entirely out of Atlanta, the Atlanta Jewelry Show is hitting the road for the Spring 2027 show, and the jewelry community is already expressing great enthusiasm.
The inaugural road show event will take place the first weekend of April 2027 at the beautiful Savannah Convention Center in Savannah, Georgia, featuring an education day on Saturday, April 3, followed by an expanded show floor on Sunday, April 4, and Monday, April 5, 2027.
Moving forward, the Spring show will travel to key cities across the Southeast—a strategy designed to better engage the dynamic, vibrant community of jewelry businesses throughout the region. The annual August show will remain at home in Atlanta.
A New Sunday-Monday Format
In another highly requested move, the Spring 2027 show will officially transition the Atlanta Jewelry Show to a Sunday-Monday schedule for all future events. This change was made specifically to remove weekend conflicts and make the show more inclusive and accessible for all exhibitors and retail buyers.
Building a “Big Tent” for the Industry
The AJS board and management team are actively working on robust collaborations with state jewelry associations, national organizations, professional associations, jewelry educators and institutions, and leading jewelry industry providers to bring the entire industry together under one “big tent”.
By transforming the spring show into an immersive retreat—complete with excellent trade opportunities, in-depth jewelry education, networking, and Southern hospitality—AJS aims to become the trade show destination of choice for independent retailers. In 2027, attendees will enjoy exploring Savannah’s many attractions, immersing themselves in its celebrated historic district, lively food and entertainment scene, and vibrant art culture. Situated right on the waterfront, the convention center is beautiful.
Hosting the Spring shows at destinations like Savannah will allow the AJS team to offer resort experiences, golf outings, and novel evening events. AJS intends to deliver a compelling combination of networking, community, business value, and education at every show.
Showcasing the Future of the Industry
Savannah was strategically chosen for the first AJS road show not just as a beautiful destination, but as the epicenter of an exciting new chapter for jewelry education and workforce development. AJS recommitted to its relationship with Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) for the March 2026 show, welcoming a large contingent of students and instructors to the Spring event and including them in show-floor education and opportunities. Many AJS exhibitors and retailers rely on SCAD for interns and new talent, and were delighted to see them there.
AJS is proud to use this Savannah event to continue building its relationship with SCAD and publicly show its support for the monumental investment Jewelers Mutual is making in SCAD. “We are incredibly excited to bring the industry to Savannah to help highlight and celebrate this massive initiative by Jewelers Mutual and SCAD,” said Ross Wesdorp, President of the AJS Board of Directors. “Supporting education and ongoing workforce initiatives is a core pillar of our new Atlanta Jewelry Show strategy. By aligning our inaugural traveling show with this historic investment, we are supporting an initiative that the entire jewelry industry needs to rally behind.”

About the Atlanta Jewelry Show
Founded in 1950, the Atlanta Jewelry Show, produced by the Southern Jewelry Travelers Association (SJTA), a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association, is one of the most respected trade events in the United States. The show exists solely to return value to its members, exhibitors, and attendees. Every decision, from show logistics to education programming, is guided by that mission and by a broader commitment to the long-term health of the jewelry industry. The result is a welcoming, relationship-focused environment where retailers and suppliers connect, learn, and grow together.
