For the fourth consecutive year, the states of Alabama and Georgia will co-host their annual Convention. The 2012 Conventions will take place March 16 – 18 at The Lodge & Spa at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
The weekend’s education line-up includes G. Kent Mangelson, sponsored by the American Society for Asset Protection (ASAP). Mangelson is a top advisor to professional athletes, celebrities, physicians, and CEOs of major corporations as well as small business owners.
Program objectives include information on structuring assets for lawsuit protection and prevention; minimizing taxes; creating successful estate and business succession plans; and learning the tools for putting your financial house in order. As noted in the ASAP seminar overview, “It takes a lifetime to accumulate your assets. Take two hours to learn to protect them.”
As a business speaker with heavy content on non-verbal communications, she inspires attendees with her insight and experience. She will explain the nuances of body language in order to become more influential in the workplace, and remove self-inflicted barriers to success.
Talley will instruct you professionally, touch you personally, and inspire you to reach for the highest within yourself and your business. She will be a returning speaker for the Alabama Jewelers who hosted her several years ago, and she is among the JCK Las Vegas speaker line-up this May, following rave reviews from her 2011 presentation.

Georgia Jewelers president John Reed, owner of JWR Jewelers in Athens, GA, hopes that jewelers from Georgia and Alabama as well as surrounding states will make Callaway Gardens their spring break destination. “Our two states have had great chemistry coming together for our annual Convention. We have been able to network with jewelers outside our geographical territory and visit destinations (like Sandestin in Florida in 2010) that as a single state we probably would not have held a convention at.”
Also during the Convention both Alabama and Georgia Jewelers Associations host their annual Jewelry Design Competition. The Design Competition and awards will take place on Sunday, March 18. All association members and their employees are invited to submit original designs in a variety of categories.
Both Alabama and Georgia state associations are actively seeking sponsors for the annual event. Companies, service providers and individuals are all welcome to sponsor the event with a variety of sponsorship opportunities available from each state. In addition, the state of Alabama is offering an opportunity to advertise in their 2012 AJA Yearbook.
